About me

Kayla McAvinney is a PR and events professional specialising in comedy, festivals, and live performance. With experience spanning startups, cultural organisations, and one of the busiest comedy venues at the Edinburgh Fringe, Kayla has managed press launches, built campaigns, and secured coverage across local and national media.

Her background combines public relations, strategic communications, and event management, giving her a broad skillset across media campaigns, social media strategy, and festival press operations. She has worked with comedians, charities, and emerging talent, helping them cut through the noise and connect with the right audiences.

Passionate about supporting new voices, Kayla brings a hands-on, boutique approach to PR. Whether it’s a 360 campaign, a one-off launch, or media management at a major festival, she prides herself on creating authentic connections between performers and the press, and ensuring every project gets the attention it deserves.
