I've spent the last five years working in and around the Edinburgh Fringe, most recently as Press Office Manager at Just the Tonic Edinburgh, one of the festival's largest comedy venues.

During that time, I've worked with hundreds of performers, coordinated media attendance, managed press launches, facilitated interviews and worked closely with journalists, reviewers and industry professionals throughout the festival.

I've seen first-hand what works, what doesn't and which opportunities are worth chasing.

I've also seen enough comedians attempt to survive on three hours sleep and a cereal bar to know that publicity is often the last thing performers want to be worrying about during August.
