ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN

Refugee Week is a UK-wide festival that celebrates the contributions, creativity, and resilience of refugees while fostering understanding and inclusivity. As part of this initiative, Edinburgh Global, the international office of the University of Edinburgh, launched a campaign to honor refugee students, staff, and alumni, highlighting their stories and achievements. Edinburgh Global is dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the university and beyond, and this campaign reflected their mission to amplify marginalized voices and create meaningful connections.

The Refugee Week campaign focused on raising awareness and engaging the university community through impactful storytelling and digital outreach. It included the creation of compelling content for social media, blogs, and the Edinburgh Global website, featuring authentic narratives that resonated with diverse audiences. The campaign also promoted various Refugee Week events, such as workshops, panels, and exhibitions, which encouraged participation and dialogue.

Through careful coordination, the campaign maintained a consistent tone and aligned with Refugee Week’s broader themes of inclusion and resilience. Audience engagement was a key focus, with analytics used to refine messaging and maximize impact. This initiative demonstrated the powerful role of communications in celebrating diversity, fostering empathy, and driving meaningful change.
